Thick fieldstone is the most common type of fieldstone and can be used for everything from borders and rock gardens to sturdy free-standing walls. |
 Colonial fieldstone is a classic used for unique stone walls and walkways. It is relatively thin and far more square and regular than other types of fieldstone. |
Full steppers provide both stepping surfaces and landscape structure. The size of "steppers" varies greatly (from under 100 pounds to over a ton). |
 Boulders can line a driveway, anchor a rock garden, create water falls, and provide shape to any landscaping project. Their use is limited only by your imagination. |
Half steppers provide both stepping surfaces and landscape structure. They are similar in shape and usage to full steppers but are smaller in size. |
 Thin fieldstone is best suited for constructing stone walls, particularly retaining walls. |
